  • The cyst infected is tender and red. It is also swollen and red.
  • There is pain and discomfort when in a standing position or sitting in a sitting.
  • Hair tends to protrude from the abscess.For some there is signs of multiple sinus tracts adding to the pain.
  • In rare cases, might be associated with fever (not typically noticed).
